Montreal born Dj Miles Moore aka (Stephane Lacroix / Dj Element) found his true calling at the young age of 10 by jump starting his music collection with such names as: Giorgio Moroder, MARRS, Paul Hardcastle and Mantroniks introducing him to the the blooming world of electronica. It wasn't long before his music collection was accompanied by instruments, sequencers and samplers with which he could develop the production skills that would permit him to unleash his signature sound upon the world. His early releases earned him a nomination for best Montreal electronic artist which drew public and media attention to his growing accomplishments as an up and coming dj / producer.
It was then that he started to work on collaborations with contemporary dance producers Martha Carter (MMhop) and Pierre Lecours to create original music and electro-acoustic soundscapes. These collaborations led him to a live dj set with added FX for the 2001 Canadian Dance Festival in Ottawa where he performed for the Canadian Governor General Adrienne Clarkson. The taste of travelling and playing for an audience pushed him to bring his musical career to another level by co-founding a deep-house record label that he could call his own, and Gotsoul Records was born.
Having rocked dancefloors across Montreal, Quebec , Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Detroit and Miami, sharing the spotlight with such artists as: Osunlade (Yoruba) / Eman (MAW) / Nadirah Shakoor (Arrested Development) / Kenny Bobien / Erro (BBE) / Lady Alma (Bugs in the Attic) / Wunmi (Soul II Soul) / Miguel Graça (Bombay) / Fred Everything (OM) / Blaze (MAW) / Nick Holder (DNH) and Jody Watley, it's safe to say that his name has traveled along side of some of the best in the business.
