Description:Lounge meets club meets bar. That's the philosophy behind Le Sonar, located downtown about 10 minutes from the old village. The idea here is Tapas, so go with a couple of friends and share a variety of Spanish influenced plates like chorizo sausage, paella and grilled calamari. Le Sonar also doubles as a club, and most people stay after dinner to party. The interior's red lighting emits a true lounge feel, attracting a chic croud of urban Quebecers, and the music gets progressively harder as the hours wane on. From opening at noon, you'll hear down tempo beats turn into trip-hop by dinner time that eventually becomes deep house by 11 p.m.
