MR.NICEGUY was created in England in 2002 as a creative outlet for
Matt Budelman. Matt had experienced clubbing and DJing in the U.S., but when he arrived in England it was a completely different story. Matt was exposed to so much electronic music, he became a vinyl addict and soon found a collection of music that fit his taste for hard beats and trancey melodies. Some call Matt’s selection Hard Trance, others call it Hard German Trance or Hard Progressive Trance and Hardstyle Trance. Either way you slice it, there are trance melodies, hard beats and that is what you can expect.
Since 1999 there has been another project on-going in Matt’s life. This project has been to continue spinning the hard and fast UK style Hard Trance and Hard House, which brought him into DJing in the first place. Also labeled NRG, you can expect a barrage of synth-lead beats and fast moving grooves which define this style. Usually around 143-147 BPM, it isn’t for the faint of heart, but you will enjoy the trancey melodies, hard hits and driving dance energy of MR.NICEGUY.
Before a short lived move back to New Hampshire, Matt met some of the guys who would later start Route 66 and remained in contact because of similar ideas, outlook and intense passion for hard dance music. After moving back to Vermont not too many months later, Matt was asked to be a part of the still infant Route 66 Productions.
