WIAM organizes the One World Film Festival in the effort to "[raise] awareness about global issues and the connections between local and global realities." The Eats: -Cocoa Camino [ www.cocoacamino.com ] - La Siembra Co-op, the distrubutor of Cocoa Camino, has chocolate that is not only fair trade and organic, but is also absolutely awsome. Mercury Lounge will be littered with the wrappers of the 71% Cocoa Camino Dark Chocolate bars. -Herb and Spice (Wellington) (1310 Wellington St.) - This fresh foods and produce store has awsome an selection, including the fresh organic Medjool Dates (eat some on March 3rd.) -Wild Oat Bakery (817 Bank Street - 613-232-6232) - This bakery has been dabbling in organic, fair trade, and “spectacular” since opening ages ago. They will be surprising us with one of their awsome squares. -Roasted Cherry (93 O'Conner - 613-236-1656) - This little coffee shop is in an unconventional spot with great results. As is the organization of the shop...Unconventional with great results. This youth run coffee house will be donating some of its fairly traded coffee. The Beats: New giveaways from Putumayo World Music- This Record Label has been producing tradional music of exceptional quality for as long as I have been listening to the genre. They have also been changing it up to create “groove” albums that are infectious. Always swanky in house beats. 7-9pm beats w/ Emily Jones [ ] E18hteen, Social, Par-fyum) 9-10:30pm Special Guest The Phat Conductor (2wars, WOMP!, Funky Cactus, Lab-Rok Records) Live Art: Labrona and his modern tinged renaissance characters will paint Live…maybe Tonto will show up too!!! ************************************************** ****************************************** March 3rd - 2006 - 7-10pm Mercury Lounge 56 Byward st.
