I instead found it filled with revelers, fire breathers, bands, short shorts, chaps, and happy people. This was my first [b]Pride Ottawa[/b] experience and it definitely made an impression on me. This month we give to [b]Pride Ottawa[/b] with the desire to make sure others can witness the brilliance of the Pride Festival. The [b]Ottawa Pride Festival[/b] is [b]August 18-27[/b] culminating with the [b]Pride Parade[/b] on [b]August 27[/b]. [b][i]The Eats:[/i][/b] -Dish Catering [ www.dishcatering.ca ] - In one way or another I have found myself in attendance at events catered by these masters of food and service. The food of [i]Dish[/i] is by far some of the best food I have had the pleasure of tasting, and on July 7th I will have the pleasure of serving it aswell. -Manx Pub (370 Elgin Street - 613-231-2070) - This place has charm. You go 6 steps down into a well of culture, cuisine, and great beer. Their cuisine is what will go down this July 7th at WB&E! -Curries - Indian Restaurant and Sweet House (114 A Gloucester Street - Corner of Gloucester & O'Connor - 613-598-6970) - Small and very bright, [i]Curries[/i] caters to the speed and need of the Centertown business district with a grandiose buffet. July 7th they graciously donate for a 3rd time! They're GREAT!! [b][i]The Beats:[/b][/i] This month the giveaways are provided by [b]Putumayo World Music[/b]- Putumayo has been a staple of international sounds for quite some time. This month they are going to ply us with a musical food sampler. In house beats. ** 8-11pm beats w/ CPI [ ] ** 11pm-1am Special Guests [b]HUMP[/b] featuring [b][i]DJ Martin[/b][/i] This month we have enlisted a collaboration with the powerhouse's behind the stellar [b]HUMP[/b] [i]wednesdays[/i]. [i]2 Little Homos[/i] production brings us [b]HUMP on a Friday[/b] with the [b]HUMP[/b] cabaret. These two will bring an element to [b]WB&E[/b] that has only been hinted at in the past. [b][i]Vernissage for: [/b][/i] [b]La Petite Mort Gallery[/b] is the trials and efforts of local art jockey Guy Berube. The gallery's membership includes a great spectrum of stylish, edgy, and confusingly appealing artists. This first time ever [b]La Petite Mort[/b] off-site show will include a selection of members artists, curated by myself and Guy Berube. Dedicated volunteer Andrew Hind will be on hand to handle sales and artist details.
