"In The Place On Our Hands" by The Still Collective

Choreographers : Aretha Aoki and Vanessa Anspaugh
Dancers : Magali Stoll, James Kendal (<Jamers)
Conceptual collaborator and sound designer: Ava Berkofsky

In The Place On Our Hands by Vanessa Anspaugh, Aretha Aoki and Ava Berkofsky, aka The Still Collective, is an abstract documentation of the moment we’re in, both personally and culturally. This psychological landscape is less “about” one thing (we are not exploring theme and variation here) but rather the moment-to-moment unfolding of multiple and shifting states of being. Working to reveal processes of thought, illusionary truths, absurd logic, and the photo-cinematic memory are shuffled and distilled through movement and sound that are both quietingly simple and loudly neurotic.

"DORS", a project by Jacques Poulin-Denis

Collaborators* :Lucie Bazzo, Emmanuelle Bourassa Beaudoin, Mélanie Demers, Brianna Lombardo, Martin Messier, Coralie Muroni, Marie-Êve Pageau, Gilles Poulin-Denis, Jessica Serli, Daniel Villeneuve. * Subject to change : the members of DORS are constantly changing.

Voices discretely whispered. A muffled laugh lost in the density of a pillow. An ambiance that recalls a dormitory… DORS explores the themes of night, sleep, and the surreal logic of dreams. This interdisciplinary project seeks to create an authentic and encompassing environment, convening the spectator to an interior voyage, a privileged visit to different nocturnal states of meandering. Here, light, sound and movement dialogue with obscurity, silence and immobility. Witnessing DORS is to get under the skin of an insomniac, diving into the consuming minimalism of a room lost in sleep and examining the slightest details often confined to the invisible. The flip side of day, brimming with mystery that conceals a whole other reality. Sleepy startled bodies, laces of voice moved by urgency, interrupted fantasies, the insomnia of some contaminating others... Those of you awake, manifest yourselves.
