| Description: | Get ready Ottawa, Meow Productions (Kimmi) and Joe Rowe bring you the DJ comp to end all DJ comps, and more fun then you can shake a stick at!!! Here's the breakdown: Our 24 DJ entries have been randomly assigned to 4 groups of 6 performers. Each group will get their own night to compete. Each DJ will get 45 mins to play. We will announce 1 winner from each of the 4 nights. The finals on the 5th night will look like this: Group 1 Winner VS Group 2 Winner = Finalist A Group 3 Winner VS Group 4 Winner = Finalist B Finalist A VS Finalist B = 1st place Winner! DJs will be judged on the following critera: Mixing Track Selection Flow/Programming Flair/Tricks Stage Presence/Crowd Interaction Also, a small percentage (15%) of your score will be based on voting. Anyone can vote by purchasing a drink at the bar. 1 vote per drink. Getting friends out to support is an important part of DJing. :) We will be awarding prizes for the winner of each night, as well as a prize for 1st and 2nd place overall. Prizes will be announced shortly. The Panel of Judges will also be announced shortly. The first night of the DJ comp is Friday Jan. 30th, and the second night is Friday, Feb. 27th. 3rd night will be March 27th, and the 4th night will be April 24th. Finals will be announced shortly. The event starts at 10:00 PM each night. All performers MUST show up to the venue by 9:30 PM the latest. This will allow us to determine who will go first via a coin toss, and makes sure everyone has a fair shot. If you fail to show up in time for the coin toss you will be disqualified.
