Nuclear Ramjet
Created in 1997, Nuclear Ramjet are now considered to be Canada’s prime trance act, having played in major festivals both here and abroad. With releases on respected labels such as Iboga, Hadshot, Turbo Trance, Ultimae and Paul Oakenfold’s Perfecto, they are now preparing for their third album. Their last album "Music For Spaceports" received critical acclaim in Mushroom Magazine and other publications. What is "Nuclear Ramjet"? Some scientists back in the 60’s (with a lot of time on their hands!) dreamed up the concept of the ‘nuclear ramjet’ engine. It was conceived as a theoretical form of interstellar propulsion using nuclear physics (the power that drives the sun!). Felix and Max got their inspiration for futuristic trance music from this very concept. Known for their depth, versatility and their inspiring live sets, Nuclear Ramjet are equally able to rock the floor at night, make the transition to dawn, or cool off heads in the morning. This is due to their complementary influences (melodic morning trance vs tech and full-on). Tracks are composed both together and separetly, by co-members, Max and Felix, resulting in a unique sound that works on many levels; sometimes dreamy, sometimes intense, and always in tune with the moment.
