New Style VJ performance by Ryan Stec
with The Configure Video Sound System
and DJ Jason P [ www.djjasonpelletier.com ] and AO

Before the rise of the mp3, and the lightening speed of peer-to-peer, the mix tape was how we shared our music. Crafted with love and care music flowed from tape click to tape click, destined for your best friends car stereo or your new love’s walkman. Each mix tape was a unique document of, not only our taste, but also of a specific time and place. This video program tries to capture the tape-to-tape spirit that drove us all to record and re-record as we found new ways to organize the soundtrack for the world around us.

For this unique program Ryan Stec will reach back into the archives of the seventies and eighties (when every tape was fresh) and create a new video experience. An event that is more than just a screening - it is a live set. A taste of some of the best video flavors our history has to offer, reorganized and represented, as you have never seen before.

Also performing under the stars in the SAW Courtyard will be the extended members of The Configure Video Sound System. This ensemble of talented geeks will deliver beautiful live video and audio fit for a perfect long weekend Sunday.
