Basement Wigger is Dac Chartrand, misappropriating jungle drum & bass since 1996. Somewhere between ridiculous and terrifying, an aesthetic is forged. This week, Basement Wigger releases his new LP, A Celebration of the Concept of the People's Republic of North Korea. Sardonic yet sincere. Dope beats constrained in an elaborate concept album meant to criticize the genre as much as it is pushing it's boundaries. North Korean art, despotism and isolation as a gateway to a new aesthetic in breakbeat music. Interpretations of established trends mutated into horribly misrepresented realities at the whim of the creator with no regard for the audience - who want to 'dance'. Click here to read [ mtldnb.com ] interview with Dac. (11:30 to midnight)

Zark Behida is an alter ego of Montreal drum 'n bass producer Blake Markle (Black Market, Blakkar Noir). Astronauts found a piece of paper floating in space with instructions demanding this album be made. Hear the prophecy fufilled. Dirty breakcore, odd meters, jazz/prog rock influences, basslines and amens a plenty. Who cares about dogma when there's a 60oz bottle of vodka making its way around the room? Experimental jungle drum & bass at it's finest. Go to [ www.trotch.com ] to see the picture story of Zark Behida! (midnight- 1 AM)

RamDac: Chief commander & creator of Flexout (online & off), RamDac's been programmed to immerse fellow bots and humans in the magical world of science fiction beats & rhymes. Get yer space & future hip hop suit on & strap yerself in 'cause like Dr. Octagon, RamDac's got seven rounds of space doo doo pistols... you may not believe livin' on the Earth Planet... his skin is green & silver, warhead lookin' mean & when RamDac's conductin' it, astronauts get played tough like the ukelele! Cyan: DJ, radio host and producer Cyan aka Corina MacDonald has been an active participant in Montreal’s electronic music scene since 1996. She has been involved in community radio for almost 10 years at CKUT 90.3 fm, and currently hosts modular_systems, an electronic music magazine show. She is involved in organizing regular events such as the phoniq beta_lab series, robo/tek, and Women on Wax. Her sound is a layered, deep exploration of techno rhythms, intersected by electro and house influences. She djs regularly at events around Montreal, and has played at events in Toronto and in France. She has played alongside such diverse artists as naw, iznogood, sarcastic, andrew duke, b'ugo and philgood. modular systems is broadcast tuesdays from 3pm to 5pm EST at 90.3 FM or online @ [ ckut.ca ] [ www.traktion.com ] (1 AM-2 AM)

Dialect: Initially influenced by hip hop acts such as KRS One, Native Tongues, Gangstarr, Jeru et al., Dave Murphy began to pursue a hip hop scratch dj status in 97. With the newer generation of "Shit-Hop" emerging from numerous hip hop labels, he became frustrated, fed up, and discontinued purchasing hip hop vinyls altogether. Still producing hip hop instrumentals, and working with local MC's, Dj Dialect was still unsatisfied with the current "scene" until his first visit to the afterhours. An easy convert to the Break Beat sound, Dialect blends the precision skills of turntablism with an ear for the underground electronic music community. Dialect can be heard spinnin' "erectro, real skool breaks, dirty disco, whore-house, fist funk and more.
