A gathering of old friends, young heads & eternal hearts for collective corporeal release. A sonic hug from our 4-point sound system, an ass thrown back 4 resistance, a wiggle forward 4 love. This time: Whodat (Det) A timeless spirit of house music in the form of Whodat (Detroit) graces our speakers to guide us back to source. For well over a decade Terri’s shared her expansive and soulful vibration of house music on dancefloors all over, and it’s been a good chunk of that time since Montreal had the privilege. After completely knocking it out the lot on the heels of Lis Dalton & the Zenker Bros during Movement this year (Lot Mass at Tangent Gallery). We felt it apt to bring her up north to replenish our souls & give those who missed it a second chance. Her last time playing Montreal was ca 2007, also her first DJ gig outside of Detroit. We’re thrilled to welcome her back. Khary aka frivolousscan (TO) Khary knows how to keep a floor simmering until boiled over. Quietly doing his thing for how long is anyone’s guess, he came to the attention of a new batch of Montrealer’s at the 2nd Best Out of Town ritual in 2021 where he perfectly soundtracked a rainstorm he was entirely unaware was happening. His signature blend of deeper than deep, sultry house, dark electro, sexy 2-step and ecstatic gay rave anthems is its own perfect storm of emotional catharsis from sensuous brooding to flowing tears of joy. DJ Frog … needs no introduction, especially as they were many of ours when it comes to that one-of-a-kind Doo brand of shroomy, housey house. Last time we heard Zoe in the Chinatown spot she made Destiny cry jacking to Love Can’t Turn Around … expect something comparable this round. D&D Music Factory aka destiny & anabasine Growing up together on the decks has given Des & Danji a sibling-like synergy when slinking around a seemingly endless array of musical styles from stride piano to hardcore punk … they might keep it slightly more focused to set the tone for the night’s proceedings, but you’ll have to arrive early to find out ! Space Graft - Visual de-lights For the LAGOM/Scuff vets, and those who were at NuitAEX, it's one of Mtl's most iconic lighting rig artists back in the zone. Relying on his own software and hardware tools to perform entirely improvised marathon sets, Space Graft brings an luminous ambiance like no other, sure to have you entranced with eyes opened or closed.
