Montreal's best ever import from Ontario after second-hand muscle cars, Sean Kosa comes from a family of musicians and has been humming "Crockett's Theme" ever since he got his first boner. He does wonders with a synth, but it's those who've seen him mix records with more alcohol than blood running in his veins that know where his true talent lies. His voice, when sober, echoes Gary Numan's; when drunk, Cookie Monster's.
Kosa has, over the years, developed a special brand of rapid-fire mixing, intersped with hip-hop scratches and reverse samples, all savagely thrown in his listener's ears at a couple of BPMs over the limit of good taste. He has played with more than his share of international superstars, among which we could recently count Stefan Bodzin, Oliver Huntemann, and Switch. His interests outside music include girls with tan lines, cooking, YouTube addictiveness and aerobics videos from the 80's. His trademark red hair and good humor has won him the affection of a city lucky enough to host him, and the next person that figures on his massive list of "friends to make" is your mom. |
