Boh! Canada: Rewind [ Static Link : iCal ]
City:Canada, Ontario, Ottawa
Time:Tue Jul 1, 2008 @ 9:00pm
Description:And lo, the invasion was fended off, and the nation's capital rejoiced;
And the beats were broken, and the people saw that they were good;
And Moses said "that was some sick bass, my selecta;"
And God called for the REWIND!

That's right, Boh! Canada is BACK. Project D brings you the best in Drum and Bass, Booty, and Breaks: the sickest drops, the pounding bass, and the best music in the country. Gear up in white and red to show your national pride once again on July 1, 2008, as we take over the capital once again.

Featuring:

DJ K (Killa Records) - Drum and Bass

Early in the millenium, Canadian DJ & Producer DJ K established himself on N2O Record's landmark anthem Championz on gold vinyl. With its aggressive syncopated beat programming and relentless bass stabs, K was instrumental in influencing the new ragga movement, spending the following years touring North America. With his next vinyl releases of respect, on a mission, flyin, hypocrites, and then establishing his own record label killa, DJ K created a worldwide impact with his unparalleled signature centered amens, double-drops and crowd-favorites. For close to a decade DJ K has been shaping the future of drum & bass into a darker more abrasive sound by pushing new concepts and previously unheard-of massive beats to new ears. On stage, DJ K commands presence - engaging with the audience and emcee, mixing hard tech, ragga, oldschool, newschool, gritty steppers, promoting new artists alongside the hardest hitting exclusives from the biggest names in underground ragga jungle and lacing it heavily with his arsenal of original dubplates. In the studio, DJ K has produced hundreds of tunes and over 50 CD's and mixes since 1999. Check out [ KILLARECORDS.COM ] to listen to all the releases, newest dubplates and subscribe to the hugely popular KILLA Podcast. Fresh off his European tour, DJ K is going to remind Ottawa that drum and bass belongs IN YOUR FACE!

Phil Atio (Vibes Duty, [ www.streamizm.com ] - Booty (Toronto)

It's been a long time since Phil Atio's brought his style of booty and ghetto tech to Ottawa's dance floors. A dark time. A time when the people did not know exactly how much they loved ass. Or titties. This is all about to change, and we will once again find our way by shakin' thangs. And all will be well.

Schema (Futurythm) - Drum and Bass (Toronto)

Last year, at Boh! Canada, Schem (a.k.a. dSquare) came out, threw down, and kept the party going as the fireworks were exploding outside. This year, armed with his own new productions, he's going to bring back the classical D+B sound that we all know and love.
