City: | Canada, Ontario, Ottawa |
Time: | Sat Sep 9, 2006 @ 10:00pm |
Info: | On Saturday, September 9, 2006, Kapacity Entertainment proudly presents a crew of some of the most talented artists in underground hip-hop, Army of the Pharaohs featuring Outerspace, Chief Kamachi, Reef the Lost Cauze. Army of the Pharaohs was initially conceived by Vinnie Paz of Jedi Mind Tricks. His vision was a constantly-evolving, collaboration of epic proportions that would include MC's, Producers and DJ's. The crew has made considerable noise over the years by releasing several 12" singles and appearing on several projects which eventually led to the release of their highly acclaimed first LP earlier this year, The Torture Papers, which features appearances by Vinnie Paz, 7L & Esoteric, Apathy, Celph Titled, Chief Kamachi, Outerspace, Reef The Lost Cauze, King Syze, Des Devious, and Faez One. A burgeoning brand within the independent hip-hop community, Outerspace (Planetery & Crypt the Warchild) are renowned for their deep rooted affiliation with Jedi Mind Tricks and Philly’s vibrant underground hip-hop scene. The group’s second album, Blood Brothers, will be released next month. Outerspace's sophomore effort is a defining achievement from a seasoned pair of underground emcees, poised to once again raise the mantle of expectations for east coast based independent hip-hop Philadelphia MC Chief Kamachi has been a staple of the underground circuit since the late 90s. He has released a steady volume of singles and other projects on the solo tip and with his crew the JuJu Mob, plus two LPs, Cult Status and the recently released Concrete Gospel. While some emcees are strictly studio, and others are basic battle cats, Reef the Lost Cauze brings well-rounded talent to the table with formidable stage presence, strong song-writing skills, and ferocious freestyle ability. Reef has made quite a bit of noise in the past few years by succeeding in many high profile battles and on JuJu Mob’s Black Candles LP. He released his first solo LP, Feast or Famine. He has not stopped touring since.
