[[ LIvE_wIRE ]] is a Montreal based event showcasing the best independent producers and DJs from our scene, along with occasional international guests.
Each edition focuses on a style of synth driven music and for November we're serving up TECHNO with a tasty ACID reduction.

Artist/DJ Bios >>
MARSHALL DESTRO has been Djing and organizing techno events around Montreal for over 20 years, his earliest soundcloud originals post back to 2002! After concluding a 8 year residency at le Salon Daome with NoiseFloor records, Destro moved on to creating and performing live techno using an hardware-only system. Since then Destro has worked at integrating generative visual shows to accompany his music. Focusing on nature, bright sunny skies, and green pastures - Marshall’s visuals aim to flip the industry standard of dark industrial warehouses on its head and to bring techno back into the light of day, back to a dance floor where people dance in circles and make friends with strangers. His music and visuals aim to bring the currently escapist dancefloor experience back to its home of community and PLUR, part of this involves performing a blend of melodic, hard, minimal, and acid techno, delving into left-field and even breaks.

Heavily influenced by Tijuana’s new-wave and psytrance subcultures and eventually 2010s Los Angeles techno scene, DELTA-SINE is serving a 10-year residency (and counting) as the host and organizer of Open Oscillator, San Diego’s original open mic night for electronic musicians. On the other side of the border he pioneered Tijuana Cyberpunk monthly live hardware music night and 2021’s cassette compilation. Delta-Sine’s music combines acid electro with LA techno kicks, with early 2000s psytrance. He usually performs on his modular, trusty electrified, and an analog polysynth or two.

Producer, musician, and songwriter RAFF can be seen around town playing drums, keyboards, guitar and bass, and under various names with live electronic performance setups that have him occasionally dubbed the “Mad Scientist.” As a veteran of the studio and stage, he has performed with Tony Ezzy, Lost City, Chanda M and many other acts over the years, including performances at the Osheaga festival, the Fringe festival, Pop Montreal and as an opening act for Blowfly.
A Concordia Music graduate and long-time recording engineer, he loves to share knowledge as a music instructor and enjoys learning new tricks along the way.

SARCASTIC has been a devotee of Montreal’s underground electronic scene as record collector, DJ, producer, promoter, and music critic since the 1990s. SARCASTIC has released music with Icewax, Standard, Wikkid, Red Channel Records, and other labels. SARCASTIC co-founded the long-running Tekstyle Thursdays at Blue Dog and Mix Thursdays at Saphir. With Level 4 Productions, SARCASTIC organized a series of raves, including Good Vibrations and Sub Culture. Alongside DJ InYourFace, SARCASTIC is a resident DJ at Montreal’s all-vinyl Acid Dreams events.
