| Description: | On November 2nd the legendary Brooklyn/NYC rave outlet GROOVY GROOVY is celebrating 10 years of pushing boundaries on the dancefloor, thru the soundsystem & in our Spirits. Thus we have assembled, across time and space, 4 (& more!?) crews within our corner of the extended Groovy galaxy to help helm the ship & take you on a trip... to Planet Groovy. GROOVY GROOVY is psychedelic, sexy, silly & adventurous, come as you are… costumed or barely clothed, be dressed to sweat. We will quite literally be traveling through space and time (+1 extra hour due to daylight savings), it’s a marathon, not a sprint. The spaceship launches at 10PM with a listening/sound bath (come early) ….. Touch-down at sunrise…. Priority to QTBIPOC.* Lineup: Akanbi (GROOVY GROOVY, NYC) - Akanbi is the DJ (or, in his own words, simply “a shepherd to let the music play”) bringing his crowd back to what raving is all about: enjoyment, release, connection, and lots of sweat. The Lagos-born, New York-based artist has been a long-time friend of ours and inspiration as to why we do this in the first place. Come see the legend for yourself. Ronan (Eternal Ocean, Catskills NY) – Representing GROOVY GROOVY, Ronan uses personal mythmaking and collaborates with a cast of inner characters to channel his vision. He will present a chapter of his immersive musical lore in a hybrid/live set. Musa (Best Out of Town, Toronto) - Representing Best in Town Sound & one of Canada’s hottest renegade festivals, Musa is long overdue to show off her skills from the other side of the dancefloor.
