| Description: | After a brief hiatus, we are happy to announce that Unknown Artist is back for its seventh edition, Thursday October 24. A night based around the small music community of Montreal, Unknown artist is meant to flip the script, working with two established DJs and one brand new, unknown talent who will be playing the prime time slot. Not just a party; it’s a platform meant to bring the community together to support and discover fresh sounds. We are so very excited to introduce Egyptian-Palestinian, Kimo Elkhateer or Kimo for short, who explores Arab-inspired sonics and playful sounds, aiming to infuse his sets with a political undertone. Opening the night is Runa, one half of the DJ duo Runa and Asha. Get ready for two hours of base filled rhythms and breaky melodies for this rare solo set. Closing the night out is Montreal mixtress Maya Labae. If you’ve caught her behind the decks before, you know you can count on her to deliver a high energy, hard hitting, non stop dancefloor moment.
