Extras: | So it looks like the Music @ The Gazebo is going to be back for another year. But this year will work a little differently then previous years due to having to deal with neighbours and the fact that more and more famillies are attending the event. 1) The max BPM for the music will be set at 140bpm. This is more in line with tamming and since we are part of the tams we should follow this. It will also not be too fast for kids who really can't handle the faster music and the neighbours won't have to deal with any extreme music reflecting off the wall into their living rooms. The goal is so that everyone around the area can be happy and we can continue to enjoy the space with awesome music. 2) Most days will be set up by a group of people. This makes managing the events a lot easier. These groups will be required to have at least 1 female DJ on their day and preferably two. Let's keep the event as gender equal as possible. They will also be required to have at least 2 people who have not played before at the gazebo. Variety is good and we do not want this year to be a 100% duplicate of last year. Because of this it will be possible some people who got to play last year will not be able to play this year. Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done about this and it happens every year. 3) Once again the music should be beat based music without vocals (a couple of samples here and there is allright). We are representing the future beat of the tams. Electronic music is mostly 4 by 4 which is pretty much what tam beats are all about. 4) Let's be clean people. Last year sometimes I had to stay at the gazebo until 1am to clean up everyones mess. Everyone should help clean. I will be giving away garbage bags to people to help cleanup. I will also be taking pictures of groups with garbage around them so that everyone can see who is causing the messes. Obviously people are out to have a good time but it takes seconds to clean up your own mess. Just do it! 5) Have fun but be responsible. As you know we are in a public park and that means respecting the rules of the park. This year we will be assisting police in getting rid of any of the negative people who destroy the vibe of the tamtam area. Let's hope this season is as awesome as the last one |
