One Peace Jerusalem [ Static Link : iCal ]
City:Canada, Quebec, Montreal
Time:Fri Sep 24, 2010 @ 11:15pm
Description:One Peace Jerusalem is an unprecedented event with an intention to deliver a global message of peace and healing to the heart of Jerusalem, a city that is held sacred my many cultures but steeped in religious conflict. Incorporating music and art, a global media campaign and the support of Religious Leaders throughout the world, One Peace will focus the intention of millions of global citizens on "Peace in the Holy land".

The event will align with the international peace initiative, Earthdance, which is recognized as the world’s largest synchronized annual gathering for peace, uniting over 300 locations in over 70 countries around the world each year. The focal point of the Earthdance international event is a synchronized "Prayer for Peace" that occurs at all events at the same time.

The moment of global prayer will be followed by a music concert in Jerusalem, featuring an international line up of artists who support peace, plus local artists from Palestine and Israel. To gain maximum global exposure, the event will be streamed live across the internet and will attract a wide global audience.

This unique global event strives to unite disparate cultures with the goal of creating a driving desire for Peace while focusing on the importance of preserving the land for all peoples. The mission is not to solve the differences that have plagued this area for centuries, but to simply "Light a Candle" that will shed light on one universal truth for all – The simple truth of Peace for all nations. One Peace Jerusalem will send out a global affirmation of hope, that one day people from all cultures and religious backgrounds with put aside their differences and live together in harmony.
