| Info: | Level 4 Productions' 5th annual springtime sip n' quip is called communism, a musical and visual realization of one of Level 4's founding members, the enigmatic DJ Karl Marx. In the spirit of equitable distribution of burdens and rewards, all attendees are asked to contribute 5 (five) dollars of Canadian Currency, and there is no guest list or anything of the sort. Communism features: a live performance by the leading light of the international hebe-hop movement SoCalled [ www.socalledmusic.com ] a laptop set by the inventor of P.R.O.N.K., the fascinating Basement Wigger [ www.trotch.com ] synchronous four-turntable, two-mixer collaborative DJ sets by: Jordan Dare and Sean Kosa, Sebastian Prelar (acclaimed ghetto-tech producer both for Miss Djax's DJax-up Beats (Belgium) and DJ Bam Bam's Bass Heavy Music (Chicago) and Sarcastic Pinky 38 and Broken Crew's Rhys Taylor and synchronous techno sets by Level 4 Productions' own Worker & Parasite Kidstatik & Toltech DJ Karl Marx plays an opening set, and Era Project's VJ Kas provides live visuals throughout the evening communism. 05.20.2006 @ Fractal Center, 7240 Clark St., 10pm - 8 am, [ www.level4productions.com ] $5 / no guestlist |
