| Info: | On July 30th 2004, Vantage Records is proud to announce the official kick off of Winnipeg's newest electronic record label. After laying low for a few years, we're finally kicking it off right. Come out and help celebrate a release in style! Featuring the sophisticated sounds of: John Phunk Vantage, Funkteck, Toolroom -TX, USA. Mr. Phunk cut his teeth in the underground dance scene with the duo Disco Agents from 1999-2003. Together they garnered some national attention w/ their releases "Le Funk Magique" (Full Kount) & "Cold Cock'd" (Funkteck Recordings). Their remix for DJ Irene & George Centeno's "Special" drew some favorable nods from their industry brotheren as well. In March, Mr. Phunk's "Punk.Rock.Disco." was released on Funkteck and charted #1 on [ Dancerecords.com ] for 6 straight days as well as #5 by Charles Feelgood. Now, Phunk has joined w/ Larry Granite and formed Granite & Phunk. G.A.P.'s first release "Knock U Over" has been cained by some of the industries best. "Knock U Over", due out this summer on Funkteck, has been remixed by world respected producers Lee Cabrera. GAP's remix of T.A.T.U.'s "All The Things She Said" is currently being cained by Desyn Maisello, Trendoid, Dave Armstrong, Chris & Kai, Low End Specialists & Lee Cabrera. Releases due out this year on Olive, Nine, Solmatic, and of course the much anticipated remix of JNL's "U So Fine" on Vantage Records later this year.
