Visual art content will explore a variety of themes and styles - all pieces generated or manipulated by digital media tools. Artwork will be displayed via projectors and continuously rotated throughout the evening. Musical content will focus on IDM and Ambient Electronica. These genres are at the cutting edge of sound generation technology - possibly some of the most innovative and beautiful electronic music being produced today. The venue is Camarillo Brillo, above the Zibibbo restaurant @ 495 Somerset West - a comfortable lounge with a great sound system. [ www.zibibbo.org ] Doors 8:00pm. [b]CPI[/b] (Theta States, Ottawa) A specialist in combining IDM, downtempo, hiphop, and ambient, CPI will be laying down a set of next-level IDM breakbeats. [b]DJ Aia[/b] (NewElectronic, Ottawa) Presenting the unique sounds of emotive ambient music and imaginative IDM / electronica from around the world. /---------------- Featured Visual Artists: [b]Karina Bergmans[/b] (Ottawa) An established artist across a range of mediums, Karina will be displaying a series of her digitally modified organic art pieces. [ kbergmans.com ] [b]Sylvain Lorgeou & Rachel Monnier [/b](Hull) Sylvain and Rachel's work is based on concepts of deconstruction and reconstruction, of torsion and movement. They create other-worldly digital imagery that is both organic and abstract. [b]Skymonkey[/b] (Ottawa) Well known for her imaginative chillroom designs, Skymonkey will transform the venue with colour, light and texture, creating an ideal atmosphere for the event. [b]James Campbell[/b] (Ottawa) Providing interesting perspectives on unlikely photographic subjects and abstract synthetic art.
