Kurt
(sung to the tune of Hurt by NiN) Kurt, shot himself today He thought his brain was steel now it's, all over the floor the perfect tiling seal The pellets tear a hole That old familliar 'bang' try to clean it all away but don't you know, blood stains everything |

ooo, look at me, I can spend more time staring at my con one-stars than practice playing my guitar, grow long hair, never shave or bathe, wear flanel and mumble incoherently about how much I had a rough life and how much suicide and/or smack is so great makes it all go away. |

What, the Kurt/Hurt thing? I came up with that on the 1 year aniversary of his death and posted it on all the BBSes I was on because I was sick and tired of all the whiny, smelly, unshaved masses of flanel moaning and bitching about how "tallented" and "great" he was, so I set out to piss of as many of them as possible.
Hell, he only did 2 good things in his life: Man Who Sold the World, which he didn't write anyways, and blowing his brains out, which he should have done sooner. |

I think I'm going to try and actually write a grung song to show the lot of you how it takes less tallent that a box of rocks that's had all the tallented rocks removed to write the best grunge song ever made.
I'm going to go study the lyrics of nirvana hits and see how he structures his words, sentences and metaphores, break the fingers on my left hand and my right arm so that I can myself the same incredible guitar-playing tallent kurt had, shoot up lots of smack and record it all on a ghetto tape deck. |

Fred, The beauty of the music is in it's simplicity... you can't judge music from a decade ago by today's standards... music constantly evolves but that doesnt discredit how great it was for its time. I hope you can at least acknowledge and appreciate that Kurt put every ounce of his soul into his music... and afterall, what is music is not an expression of one's personal emotions & thoughts...? |

I'mnot judging it by any standards other than my own. And as far as I'm concerned, all he did was bitch and moan about how rough he had it and how depressed he was, and it's something most kids can relate to, so they latched onto him.
Kinda like Eminem. Sure, there's some tallent there, but the content of his songs is bitching and whining about how shitty his life growing up was and how shitty his life is now (even though he's got more money than any 200 of his fans combined). I believe they said it best on The Simpsons: Making teenagers depressed is like shooting fish in a barrel. His lyrics weren't creative or well articulated, there's so much of it that absolutely disgusts me in a backstreet boys/nsync/britney spears sorta way. |
