bah, teck12's only if you plan on spinning out.
go with whatever you like the feel of. knowing tech12s comes in handy only if you're going to be using someone else's decks. |

i had a numark tt2 deck and it was fine! just as good as my tech1200, and it even went backwards and had a greater pitch range! but i traded it to my friend so we can both have matching decks |

I really like 1200s, but I'd like to give the STR8-150s a shot. wider selectable pitch range, more torque, and NO GODDAMN 0% FADER CLICK! If it wasn't for the fact that it was butt-fucking-ugly, I'd also want to try out a TT-500 because of the re-aranging thing where you can re-locate the pitch to be vertical, but in battle-style. |

it's all a question of money, you kno that "cash rules everything around" given that, 1200 are your best bet just cause they are the industry standard... meaning if you play out 9/10 times it will be some tech 12 model that you'll use. Having said that, you can learn on anything (within reason) so long as it's a direct drive it's all a question of whether you can exercise control over the peice of hard ware or not, techs provide the best bag of advantages (there light on the pull back, when callibrated right they tend to skip less, the record stops as soon as you put your hand on the platter...) |

then u just get used tek12''s or u raise more money instead of wasting it on cheap-ass turntables ..
i was saving lotsa money before i had decks (then bought 2 new tech12's , a Roland dj -1000 mixer and a whole damn bunch o'records ...) since then i never recovered , 5 years later i'm still damn broke .. but that was worth ... -ave tried and tested pretty much every turntable on the market, and 1200's will always be the love of my life El Leader Maximo He ...they never let u down .. precious love |
