Hi!
I`d like to get in contact with a vinyl-jocke that could give me some info about the scene in Canada/US.
I`m also looking for DJ`s (mainly techno) to book to Norway, but I require a minimum of 3 mixes ore productions before anything like that is up for discussion.

Other than that , just see what you guys are doin` .. ain`t much happening here.

[ www.t-44.com ] - techno bugs me!.mp3

Two of my mixes .. one electro/breaks (nu) and one "techno" .. just to label it with a ganre.

Regards

What happened was that my computer crashed and now I found the passwords by chance!

Thanks for the info man, it probably will come come in handy if it still applies, cos´ now we are trying to rebuild the scene here in Oslo.

Things went pretty dead for some years, 2004 was actually the last year anything happened! We lost our parade (Summerparade) which I was in charge of producing at the time, due to political indifference and resistance.
We lost all the good spots and clubs and all thats left now are some small venues and a shitty club that does kids stuff, and have been for years...
Hopefully, if the will is present in more than two people, we will be able to make something happen within next summer!

Oh.. and if anyone actually have that mix I added,I would like to have it again! email:azpect@t-44.com with replies

Thank you - and you - and .. you.

well when it comes to the Techno scene (of course I don't mean Techno in the general sense but the specific style), the scene is pretty much in the after-hours.

The only 2 to play Techno are Aria [ www.aria-nightclub.com ] and Circus, which by the way is the newest after in town, [ www.circusafterhours.com ]

Now there is for the more minimal and glitch side of Techno, a festival called MUTEK [ www.mutek.ca ] and the Société Des Arts Technologiques, which everyone just calls the SAT, a space that holds quite a few events (not only in Techno, mind you but more in the artsy and eclectic vibe) [ www.sat.qc.ca ]
There's also the Montréal Élétronique Groove [ www.megmontreal.com ] but I personaly aint a big fan of it....but whatever, it's here also :)

I know there is more than just that in town but it's pretty much what comes to mind right now.

There is always the odd party here and there and I'm part of a production crew that pushes Techno mainly but has colaborated with others as well. [ www.level4productions.com ] but I'm the "kid" of the gang so I dunno much about organising :b...Steve Lalla's the main man for that tek@level4productions.com

Now, about me....well there is a page I got up on a site called ZED so take a look...or a listen, I should say :)
[ zed.cbc.ca ]
you can find tracks that I produced on that page and download 3 mixes of mine as well.....I play under the monicker of "Toltech" but I'm sure you'd figure that one out pretty quickly by checking that page hehe

I think carlos did a good summary but its just that a breif summary...
it all depends on what kind of techno you want to know about so drop a few artists names our way and then we can tell you about the scene here there are lots of different techno scenes here in this city doing various things... there are a number of regular nights, festivals, events promoters adn what not so lets hear what end of techno your interested in and I can give you the info your wanting...
there is an entire underground minimal techno scene happening that carlos didnt even touch on...
