Fred, I think you misinterpreted the point of the game. Its not about how high of a score you got, or how moral you are. Its about two things:

1. whether you beleive that morals are relative (and thus are more permissive of deviant behavior) or absolute (and thus are more intolerant of behavior you deem to be absolutely immoral) and

2. how consistent or inconsistent your beleifs regarding morality are. near the beginning of the exercise, you are asked whether or not a private behavior that harms no one is immoral. if you answered no to that, than you should have no problem with any of the subsequent activities described. however, if you beleive that actions that cause no harm are not immoral, but then judged the subsequent scenarios to be immoral, then you are in contradition with yourself

Well, I still find that the questions have nothing to do with morals so much as taboos.

Of course, look at my score. ;)

true, actually the name of the game *is* "Taboo"

however, the very reason why a behavior is considered taboo is that most people consider it sick/unnatural/immoral. otherwise, we'd all be having tons of fun screwing dead chickens hehe

For the last day of a cinema class at Dawson, the teacher showcase all the student' short films. One guy did a movie about himself running in a ninja costume with a katana for half a hour. Then in the middle of the movie, he fucks a thawed chicken.

The assignment was to created a short film and the theme was violence.

The "moralizing quotient" is to indicate whether or not you find these activities wrong .

How can you find anything about these activities wrong? Is it because they are not conformed to the majority "norm" of society? Is it just because it's offensive to your conscience?

The "Inference Factor" is to indicate whether or not you think society is to intervened.

How do these activities concern you? What right do you have to imposed your views and morals on another? What right does society have to impose on the individual right? None of these activities is a threat to the immediate collapse of society or humanity.

The "Universalizing Factor" is to indicate whether or not you judged moral wrongdoing regardless of the culture or social environment.

How can you judge another culture habit without understanding the social context of that culture? What makes your society superior as to judge and condemn another society? The society's belief of moral superiority over others can lead to worldly strife.

"Your score of -1 indicates that you saw no moral wrong in any of the activities depicted in these scenarios, which means that it is not possible for this activity to determine the extent to which you see moral wrongdoing in universal terms (i.e., without regard to prevailing cultural norms and social conventions)."

I scored a zero, zero, and negative one. This test is to indicate whether or not your system of morals is affected by the "Yuk Factor".* This test is to prove that moral judgements based on the aversion of habits and taboos is not a good measure of someone's ethics.

*What is the "Yuk Factor" ? It is the repugnance of cultural habits or taboos sorely for the fact they are different from yours.
