Dna Records: Don'T Sleep

If there ever was a week to save up for...this is it. I don't remember the last time we've had this many dope records in the store at the same time. Pay attention.......
[DRUM & BASS] Keaton & Hive - Bring It On/Under Pressure on Violence. The UK and US join forces to create what will go down as one of the biggest tunes this year, and it's only February! Clissic rap vocal sample, classic hip hop horns and one sick drum kit all in one tune...it made my mom get down. The flip is absolutely retarded: dillinja style drums, another hot rap vocal and SLAMMIN' bass. The only reason it isn't the tune of the week is because of... Pendulum - Another Planet/Voyager on Breakbeat Kaos. Tune of the week! Australia's finest come with the precursor to the sicker then sick LP coming shortly. Both tunes really do sound like they are from outer space...production quality of these tunes is also out of thie world. First they're like BAM BAM BAM, and then they go VROOM and then it's like WAAH WAAH WAHH and after that it goes BOOM BOOM and WOW. Basically these guys are the future of drum & bass. Corrupt Souls - Wicked Life EP on Moving Shadow. Impulse & Telemetrik are Corrupt Souls. Moving Shadow pull off a wicked coup, nabbing these 4 little gems for their X series of limited EPs. Do you know what this means? It means if you want one you have to come and get it! Cuz once it's sold out, it's sold out....period! What are you doing? Stop scrolling down, reach in your goddamn pocket and count your pennies...why? cuz we ain't even NEAR finished yet. Concord Dawn - Morning Light (Klute RMX)/Don't Tell Me feat. Tiki on Timeless. This is what we in the buisness call a "teaser" (imagine me standing in front of you making imaginary quotations with my fingers now). This "teaser" happens to contain not one but TWO anthems. Why? I don't know. Basically, Concord Dawn's new album called "Uprising" is about to drop on their new label, also called "Uprising", and these 2 tracks are some of the best on it. I bet you sing along to the b-side after listening to it ONCE. D.Kay - The Martians/Concord Dawn - Bad Bones (ill.skillz RMX) on Freak. What's that you say? : "Corey make it stop!" My response: "hahahahahaah, Never!" Klute - Growl/Lost Connection on Commercial Suicide. I'm sorry, is that your wallet or are you just happy to see me? We've all been waiting since the album for new material and he it is baby...I think it might be in my best interest to take my phone number off this post. Stop record store harrassment now! Paul B & Subwave - What U Need/Garon - Raw Power on Sonix. Once again, Aquasky find the bombs. Paul B & Subwave give a smooth, deep, dark and twisted piece of tech-step that you just have to dance to. While state-side's Garon comes with the REESE bassline madness, sampling the classic breaks tune of the same name 'Raw Power' is one of my favorite tunes right now. Trust - Redeemer/Mason & D Star - Iron Curtain on Intasound. The one and only DJ Bailey comes correct with the first release on his Intasound label. Putting out virtually unknown talent, both sides have a distinctly dubby feel, with very intricate live sounding drum kits, very dark shit. Be sure to check his 'Intabeats' online radio show on BBC 1xtra. Clipz - Cocoa/Jiggy on Full Cycle. 3rd release in the Clipz series on Full Cycle, each one getting better then the last. More bouncy business from the jump-up king, and you know what that means...more cheesy vocals! Yahoo! Ok, so maybe you don't like cheesy vocals, but for those who do, check out the flip featuring MC Sweetpea. Nu:tone - Breathless/Feel It on Hospital. You know it. Nu:tone is the latest signing to Hospital and they don't make mistakes...his LP is on the way and everyone from John B to Marcus Intalex to High Contrast is dropping his shit. Do you know what this means!!?!?! Me neither. Drumsound & Bassline Smith - Tinman/Palamino on Technique. More badness from the Technique crew, definetly typical sounding for them, but a little bit on the darker side of things, which makes this record very interesting. Check it out. From The Streets Vol.1 - Bootleg. Very hush hush remix of the one and only Beyonce's 'Crazy In Love' featuring Jay Z. Fortunatly for you, I don't like keeping secrets...it's Pehsay. I'm so FUCKING tired of typing...so if you want to see the breaks, you're gonna have to come on down to the sation house. Corey DNA Records 28 Pine Ave E.
