Dude, I been sayin' it since day one. The samples are shit and not diverse enough. They're good enough for someone just starting out who still doesn't know how to do much, but for anyone serious about production, it's just a joke. Fuck, the track I have going with them is old-skool rave/hhc sounding. The amen is about the only useable thing, and it's not even a fucking loop. |

HaHA!
;) Alex! You suck mothercunter! I heard what Subtone did. He's killing it! If you strictly work your tunes with samples you get... you're gonna produce so-so tracks. But when you can actually take samples, murder them with effects, and re spit them on your board. You're actually going somewhere... Edit: That works for real life producing too. |

screwhead: you should cut up the breaks in an audio editor and make some perfect loops...
The only thing limiting me is the genres.. I can't do much with breaks or DnB.. I could make a sick idm tune with the samples but it would probably scare everyone off |

Well, either Im crazy or you guys dont know what your talking about...Subtone probably had a head start, because he IS the one who suggested they do this comp....and all the samples are so overused in ALL DnB songs today ie: the bad bones stab, the Disco stab, The AMEN (THAT SUCKS)....I mean out of the 4 million sample packs they chose the shittiest one! Its really shit to work with in Reason 2.5, Im telling you...I can really fuck the noises up...but the way theyre looped and pasted together? CMON! Its crap!
Ne wayz, goood luck...I know Ill need it. |

LMAO. Dude... Dave didn't do the sample pack Mike did. Subtone works 20/24 and.. let's just say he's a harder worker when it comes to prodcution. And Alex: just need to be carefull when you slice the beats man. There's good stuff coming out right now. |

Dave told me at the last IDJ that he was working on the sample pack also and that it should be out soon... |

Exactly...so he had time to play around..
and when I slice the Beats in Rex....what do I do to make it sound sharper (ie: compression? Layering?) wait! It doesnt even GO IN REX! I have to sample it in the NN-19 but that SUX! Wheres Stabba when you need him? |

Edit it into loops with Cool Edit or some other wave editor. I'd say use the Wave Traveler, but that's a fruityloops thing :b |

Stabba is here!
Sample pack is great. We gave you all classic samples so newbies could have a chance to do something that sounds ok without putting to much work into it. If you're a good producer you know what to do with these samples to make a sick track. Stop winning. All of you who keep saying the sample sucks probably never produced anything good b4. Subtone had nothing to do with the sample pack. We talked about it cause we are friends but thats it. I alredy heard a couple of tracks and they sound great. Even Double A did a track! 10 days left, Good luck. |
