Ok, 90% of the time when i download a movie and play it full screen it is widescreen. Is it a problem on my side or most people rip dvds on widescreen mode?

yeah, if you have a wide screen tv. but with a normal sized screen it takes away a lot of the image and its frustrating

and tell me how it is done? they call up the whole movie crew from 1930's classics and they be like: hey, how about we redo this movie in widescreen so we dont have to crop the shit out of this vintage footage?

well if they resize they squish the image, which is even more horrible than cropping

computers / televisions automatically resize all images that appear on them to fit the screen, it isn't impossible to resize movies to wide screen, ie DVDS WIDE SCREEN edition

widescreen editions ARE better since you don't lose half the movie. 4:3 Veersions have a lot of the movie clipped right out.

Movies are ALL filmed in "wide screen", they're cropped for TV to fit full-screen. In full-screen, you miss parts of scenes that are suposed to be in.
