| this just occured to me, i dont know why nobody pointed this out before
noah - we cant edit our posts except for the last one in any given thread. ok, makes sense so that people think twice before posting.
but why on earth is there an ERROR MESSAGE when all you gotta do is make the E not LINKED on all those no-longer-editable posts? And only clickable on the last one. |

| heh, that'd technically take more load time.
it'd have to do an extra check for every posy displayed. though i'm sure that wouldn't add a whole lot to the load time given the amount of extras noah's got piled up on each load.. |

| people pressing on the non-functional E and get the error msg page would probably eat up more resources than not linking the E if post != last post by that person |

| how's about not even having them appear unless they're accessible.. rather than be non-linked, or in this case linked with an error page..
i've always taken the user friendly approach, and show only what the user has access to, and not just show everything and allow only certain users access.. |

| well sure that'd be even better.. and it'd apply everywhere else too where the shaded E and D are placed just to tell you, that you aint cool enough to be able to use em :lol |
