RAPPERS OR MC'S

Hehe..I hope I piss of the right people with this one...lol..well I've been asked by many peeps.."who is the dopest MC out today?"...and I would always get frustrated with that question, cause I know that deep in there minds they want me to pick a JAY Z, NAS, ect (whom I do respect as great lyricists especially NAS)...Well in realizing what a real MC is according to the way I remember when growing up in HIP HOP since I was a shorty in BX...there really aren't to many MC"S out at all today..But when I recently saw SUPERNATURAL at the MAGIC convention here in Vegas...I saw what can truly be one of the greatest MC"S of all times...True the man does not have a hit record on the radio. And of course we can argue back and forth about lyrical skills...but from my upbringing in HIP HOP back in the days...an MC in definition is a "MASTER OF CEREMONIES". And to a true OG HIP HOPPER...That means he or she has to control the crowd and keep the party jumpin, and ENTERTAIN!!!!..that's right..an MC has to be a performer as well as a dope lyrical genius..and in truth..to be honest, and not to diss great lyrical geniuses like RAKIEM, KRSone, BIG DADDY KANE, and KOOL G RAP (and many others)...there hasn't been many real MC's out since DOUGIE FRESH and SLICK RICK...forealz..Now remember I' m referring to MC history when great lyricists like GRAND MASTER CAZ, MELLIE MEL, KOOL MOE DEE, were never afraid to entertain there party peoples. As dope as these MC's were... they still made sure to do dope creative crowd pleasers, routines, party songs, and always tried to make the people have a good time at there shows...In today's rap era it seems that most RAPPERS wanna scare the crowd into liking them...lol..I mean seriously..I was on tour with top recording artists...(I'll say no names). But all I saw was allot of walkin back and forth, d*ck grabbin, shoutin, anger, profanity, violent rhymes, threats of murder...lol..forealz...And peeps was walkin out the stadiums saying "I had fun".....LOL....hahaha..yep...I couldn't believe it..But I will be fare about this and give mad props to groups like TRIBE, DE LA, ULTRAMAGNETIC, PE, and today's groups like JURASSIC 5, ARSONISTS..and I know ...many many more like PHAROE MONCH and MOS DEF..but still..my point in all of this is simple..People pay mad doe to see there favorite RAP star perform...the least these crappers...oops, I mean rappers can do is give them there moneys worth...
DEFINITION OF AN MC= master of ceremony, mic controller, great lyricists that are not afraid to please the crowds, and keep the party jumpin
DEFINITION OF RAPPER= recording artist production. wanna be MC's that are only good for making hit records but are not necessarily good MC's

yknow how they look cool in videos but on stage and collecting awards they're a bunch of dorks? that's how the movie was

at least im a dork all the time

i thought Belly actually showed talent, DMX kinda made me angry though, but the rest i was very impressed with, coming from a bunch of Gangstah rap heads, the movie made a mark...that's just me though, theres not many hip-hop star movies that can be pulled off, 8-mile was pretty weak, though Em doesn't act too badly, How High, i was very impressed with though, Meth and Red are born comedians, especially Meth, he was the only good part about My Baby's Daddy, which i still don't know why i went to see

MCs....rappers....same shit...just ppl classify, and categorize way too much. i personally agree with some shit u wrote there sam but not all.

what am i...a rapper or an MC....cuz i can record well...but i can perform live well...or soo i think. wtv im not a rapper, nor an MC...im just me ....MJ or the Cannibus Miss...wtv u wanna call me. i dont look like a rapper chick...nor will i ever. but i express myself MCing.

its too hard to classify...but with jack asses like jayZ, p-diddy....i can understand why ppl stereotype hiphop like that. i guess i do to.

just rambling on...wtv
