| I am looking to buy a portable one... Anyone have any info/experience with them? Are the more expensive models worth it?
I want something that I can plug a mic into to record stuff at a good quality, it seems only more expensive models have an actual mic input, is this important, or is line-input fine ? |

| i dont know about the mic cuz i dont have one but i got a MD for christmas - the MZN510S cheapest one with the line-in and wprks really great jsut make sure you adjust the levels yourself when you record....
does anyone know how to install sonicstage !?!!? i tried everything i installed simple burner but sonic stage doesnt want to install and the driver does :( i made sure nothing else was open on my pc and usb disconnected before installing 3 times and still doesnt work |

| buying a mic and plugging it in require a mic jack.. The portable mics are small and good and not very expensive... it's the actual recorder that is. |

| my friend has a regular cheap minidisc with just a line input and we plugged in a mic into it and there was no problem. I did plug in a pre-amp into it first tho |
