Music Section Mp3 Bitrate Problem

i noticed that if you add a song to the music section over 128 kbps format the file gets renamed to a random gibberish filename with no mp3 file extension.. this is remedied by simply renaming the file - for example I just added "place to be" and when I ripped it from my cdr to mp3 on my friend's ibook it converted automatically to 160 kbps - i uploaded the file and as above it gets renamed randomly every time you try to download
is this problem in my mp3 tags? or is it simply a question of making sure the file is in 128 kbps? if so then maybe this should be mentioned or whatever |

*sigh* people have answered this a gazillion times before. iTunes doesn't encode the ID3 tags properly. You need to convert them to an older format or some such. |
