soyfunk, maybe "thriving" is an exageration but without a doubt a lotta people still like DnB. bd's Friday is a solid night, many parties feature a DnB DJ or two, and the big names like Aphrodite, Goldie etc still sell their mix CDs en masse.. perhaps more in Europe mind you... unfortunately the 14-17 yr old demographic doesnt have much pull in the club or rave market, more on the CD buying (now downloading and burning and copying) market.

and yes, i think, and i'd like think, that we'll see fucking dirty ass booty shit come up big, and start morphing into other styles. Assault plays booty with DnB records; its only a matter of time before some nut produces a whole barrage of DnB beat/booty-lyric tracks, for example.
when Neoform starts playing fucking booty DnB then he can call himself Neoporn. or, better yet, DJNprn

I agree with the versatility thang

i'm really into making porn music, well, not music for porns, but porn related tchoons, i think my favorite thing to scratch is girls moans and screams, it's alot of fun, and i think the new thing should be exactly what Simon said...sets jam packed with different sounds

the beatmatching part itself is just 12% of what a good dj does

there's much more than just mixing in order to be a real dj... something people seem to have forgotten

claiming they hiphop when they be wearing fucken construction boots and all that fake gold.. seriosuly tell me how they gonna bust windmills and flares with that shit on... let alone a decent uprock

You ask them who Kool Herc is they think i talk about that kool aid puppet

where did history go so wrong and why??

why kids don't get no knowledge these days??

lmao! constrution boots

thats like the local heads hanging out on ebay trying to bid on burbury custom tims

it helps them learn c-walks from the internet or as they call it... lil bowbow walk

most local bboys i used to admire grow up don't even fucken dance anymore cause they're wearing them clumky lugs, tims or geeky dressy shoes

gotta mention oversized knitted sweaters

the bboy aesthetics is lost and everyone thinks they can buy it back with a hairy hooded triple5 parkas or piece of thread with some nyc style graffity on it
