yeah I was hooked on it since I saw him play at someone's house party and they kicked him off because it was too scary.. we became friends pretty quick after that

nice one... but if he got kicked off then I'm thinking he wasn't scary enough. When it's too scary people are too freaked out to approach you.

yeah, like that time a bunch of people invited me over to a party and like all of them were on lots of acid, and someone pissed me off, so I put on Marilyn Manson's Smells Like Children EP.

No one had the balls to take the CD off.

That was a great moment.

Needle Sharing is garbage. Straightforward breakbeat scheisse from Germany. I doubt anyone would want to hear him.

Larvae is IDM, and frankly it's a bit uninspired. Nicholas Chevreux (who signed him to his label Ad Noiseam) has a way with creating overhype.

We've already had Iszoloscope in Montreal, and boy was I dissapointed. This guy plays CDs with a KaossPad over it. His new album is terrible. I liked the first one, Coagulating Wreckage, but the second is a fucking yawn fest.

Perfection Plastic is rugged.

By the way your Replikant thing is false representation... I browsed through your playlists, and it's all the same played out EBM shite that all sounds the same (on CD-Rs!) No industrial, hardtek or noise in there.

I've had some disagreements with Chevreux on a few occasions. The guy seems incapable of reviewing a record without comparing it to something else - which is sloppy music journalism. Especially when he accuses people of ripping someone else off when he doesn't have a clue what's going on.

For some reason I feel obligated to mention Bombardier in this thread. His good stuff is really good - and the Demons & Angels cd is one of those really good pieces - it compiles a bunch of tracks from 12" releases on LowRes and Division 13. Tasty.

Yes, we saw that thread.

Not being the hugest fan of anyone on that line-up, I doubt I'll make it there.

How about something in Montreal for a change? Oh right, nobody cares.

Obviously, we have diverging definitions for "rhythm noise"... (read my earlier post in this thread for my views on the genre)

I'm guessing that for you, noise is just dark EBM with distorted beats (i.e. E-Craft) - and it doesn't quite cut it for me.

And even if Blackpaps does play stuff I might enjoy, I won't show up because that would mean enduring hours of Funker Vogt clones in the meantime.

If you'll allow some sarcasm: was she playing with actual CDs/LPs that she paid for?
---

The show pending confirmation is the Larvae/Needle Sharing tour, right?

to be continued...
