Imagine if you could buy synthetic ceratonin...

Is ceratonin even considered a 'drug'?

yeah. its called 5-HTP, usually extracted from Griffonia root. However, there is only SO much your body can convert at a time, so if you eat a shitload of 5-HTP you *might* experience a weak MDMA-like high, but it won't be super intense and won't last long. Also, serotonin converts to melatonin, and that puts you to sleep. What people usually do is load up on 5-HTP (200mg or so) before a MDMA trip to make the onset smoother, and take 200-400mg 4-6 hours into the trip to eliminate or ease the down. Since the MDMA is often accompanied by speed, the sleep factor is countered, or a good night's rest (read: not having chronic lack of sleep) before the trip will work as well.

Either way, it would be cool if humans could regulate how much seretonin and dopamine their brains could release.

It's really easy to get high without talking anything, I do it all the time...
Listen to your favorite music, loud
close your eyes and relax as if your
gonna fall asleep. Concentrate on the
beats and with time your brain is going
to produce the chemicals that normaly
makes you go to sleep. keep your focus
on the beats and buzz away.
I do it every dinner time at work in my car.
