High Contrast lauches label
South Wales drum'n'bass star High Contrast -to his mother, Penarth resident Lincoln Barrat - is to front a new record label, according to reports in this month's Sound Nation magazine.
Entitled Contrast, Barrat insists the imprint will be an outlet for drum'n'bass and breakbeat of a more inventive stripe. "It'll be singles by me and other people which might not fit in with Hospital Records," he explains. "It'll be quite small scale, but it'll be good to get these tracks out there somewhere." The label will begin life in the New Year.
Meanwhile, Barrat has been working on new material for Hospital Records. There's an album due for May, which will be preceded by a single, Lovesick, which has already garnered plays from drum'n'bass stalwart Fabio. |
