| Coolness: 50195 | they are ok but I personally think there are more talented artists locally then egg... egg have thier thing down and as new commers I can definatly see them progressing into some thing really interesting both in studio and live.
and with the mutek name behind them they are bound to go places.... which is a good thing I think. what about some of the new techno folks locally who have not yet released material or not yet really getting the gigs. Im courious to hear about them the new talent... so to speak... |

| Coolness: 50195 | techno is to repative and boring man oh man... you havent really heard enough techno honestly... its the root of most of the music you probally listen to with out even realising it...
I hate it when people say techo is repative all music is based on repeated parts over and over again ... pop music for instance is verse coruse verse coruse and each verse and coruse is built on repitiions... so when people say techno is to repativie I think they dont really listen to music at all... as all music is based on loops of some sort... |

I honestly don't know much about glitchy tech, minimal or dub and all that jazz....I'm really more into the bigger sounding stuff....more into the straight tech. Hard-tech, Tribal/Latin Techno, Schranz and even the Club Techno stuff (a la UMEK etc..) ....I like it heavy mostly, I guess I still got the raver in me (please do not confuse with candy thanks). ....anyways, this is exactly why I thought that thrwing electro in with techno isn't the best idea out there since they are 2 very distinct genres and there is enough in both to make their own forums......to me it's like putting House and Trance together just because they can be 2 very commercial styles, u know?... |
