Aww crap I have an Ensoniq DP2 and paid 350 for it... I strongly recommend the DP4 for anyone needing an effects rack! |

oh yeah? i've been needing a new f/x module. i was thinking about getting a second hand koas pad.
also, has anyone ever used the "ALESIS AIR FX" thing? they're going for pretty cheap from what i've noticed. |

i think that the kaoss pad and everything in its category is very dumb. get a second hand lexicon mp100 or 200 (something like that). they dont go for a lot and seem to be doing the job nicely for some ppl. |

mmm, nice, lexicons on ebay seam to be pretty cheap, but i'm looking for something more interactive with knobs for live tweeking. rack knobs are not very accessable when playing live. |

Kaos pads are great if used properly. Beats the hell out of using the EQ to mix tracks, but that only really aplies if it's built into the mixer. |

You can assign 2 parameters per effect for control via SysEx with the DP4... and there's four effects running at the same time on that machine. |

orville with the control pad is the ultimate tweakable effects box.. but it costs as much as a good used car |
