Having Wmp Problems...

my media player will play movies that are on my hd
but lets say i go on a website and click on a video, it will open my media player and nothing will happen, and if i try to close it it crashes and closes, but the process stays in the back

I am running windows media player 9, with internet explorer and i'm on xp

anyone can help?

yah it sucks ms made people pay to use their codecs... if they didn't we would have a standard and they would probably be sued left right and more...
