they end it by giving you a bottle of codiene and then the finger when you come back begging for more

then you're left on your own to fiend and find replacements on the street

i luv doctors

they CARE

and i don't think anyone takes morphine (or other derivatives) for any other reason than relieving pain, because that's what it does. you take it for the affect. these aren't exactly fun drugs.

they don't give out codeine as much as they used to, When I got all my wisdom teeth out I just got really strong ibuprofen which didn't have any "pleasent" side effects

Actually, they ARE all drugs. Its just that some drugs are more effective than others in treating depression. Let's compare MDMA and SSRI's (ex prozac):

MDMA - will make u feel very good for about 4 hours, and then contributes to serontonin depletion (which in turn aggravates depression). So lets assume u take MDMA once a week. That means for 4 hours, one day a week, you will be instantly cured of your depression. The problem is that the rest of the time you will be even more depressed. So obviously MDMA is not a viable treatment for depression.

SSRI - yes u may suffer from the negative side effects mentioned above, but unlike with MDMA, you can take SSRI's every day to permanently improve your level of available serontonin.

i'm not suggesting people who are depressed necesarily should take SSRI's, cuz a drug is a drug and the best way is to cure depression is by riding yourself of the CAUSE of the depression. however if you have to take a drug to function normally than obviously SSRI's are an appropriate tool for this purpose while MDMA isn't

What I meant is some people claim that all drugs are good or that all drugs are bad and that is incorrect.

Sometimes the cause of depression could be a chemical imbalence that is just there from the start...

Which makes me think... People who self-medicate might be making things worse for themselves in more than one way. If you already have a problem, and treat it with lots of street drugs, the problem might eventually get worse. Then if you quick taking street drugs and decide to opt for prescription drugs you might need stronger drugs then you used to to counter-act the extra damage you created with the "self-medicating". In the end you could end up losing worse.

From experience, although drug use in general is not good for ones health both psychologically and physically, i look at myself and other reformed drug users and realize that once they realize that they have a drug problem (which unfortunately they dont always do) they uncover the root of there initial depression as well, where as sometimes one can live their entire life, avoiding the problem, remaining eternally depressed. Drugs are a real eye opener once theyve kikt u in the ass. My life is better because of them. Not because i do them now, but because i did them before.

there's always better ways though, like some people might be better off after they slit their wrists and recover because they end up getting the help they need but it's better to not have to slit your wrists .

no thats not what im saying. I mean that drugs can actually trigger something ion your mind that allows u to escape denial and face ur problems. On drugs u get super intouch with urself amd sometimes that makes u have to deal with the stuff that u keep lokt away in the deeepest recesses of ur mind.
