Dj's are cool, we can keep our own cool when performing in front of SO many people, that takes courage. Being a producer requires lots of passion and that should be respected and sometimes admired. All in all, we should all love each other for the things that help others, no matter what we do.
I'm feeling it right now..

lets use a war analogy...

Dj's are soldiers and producers are weapon manufacturors and the dj's crowds are civilian cassualties... producers that play live are like a direct assembly assembly factory that detonates its weapons infront of a plant touring civilian crowd of cassualties, Dj's just kill them with pre-fabricated and assembled weapons supplied to them by producers, but the flair of how a dj or a producer can kill the civilians ears, the style encorporated durring the onslaught is what truely makes him or her unique in their audio attack, in a manner of audio war speak...

Now the soldiers should be praised cause they are constantly on the frontline of the audio war, where as the producers have a much more detracted position, unless they play live, in which case the analogy breaks down, cause I doubt that any one from lockheed and martin has every dug a trench or fired an m-16... but I digress, if one believes in a type of audio war, then one should support the soldiers fighting that war, and those soldiers couldn't fight that war unless the producers supplied them with a constant stream of audio weapons, and the noteriety of the producers is based entirely on how many cassualties are cause by the exposure of their audio weapon...

oh ya, and girl djs are hot because they are girl dj's, just like skater chicks are hot, because they are skater chicks, just like puck bunnies are hot because they are girls that play hockey, tradditionally, all these things are male dominated, so should chicks hate on other chicks that try and breach that male dominated barrier? Dont hate the players folks, hate the game...

Ufot-seen!
I'm feeling shoulda stayed in be right now..

Does that mean that producers who are DJs are the McGuyvers of the audio war?

I think that rather than macgyver, producers who are also dj's and have mastered both arts of war finely, are more like clones of Chuck Norris, and yes, you are definately kool if your friends with chuck norris... so.... thread!

All Djs do is play video games, eat, sleep, party and have wicked orgy sex with lots of hot chicks I can't stand Djs. Always looking cool, so popular with all the girls I hate those guys, they always want you to hear the latest set from them. and always have some sick beat that just makes you wanna dance. those jerks.

true, soldiers come and go, but revolutionaries can live forever in what they've left behind.

well you don't have a sandwich without somethng to put inside your bread and you don't have a rave without a d.j. In my mind there is not much comparison between a d.j and a producer though, two entirely different past-times, even if they have a lot to do with eachother, and well, depend on eachother, I don't think there's much use in comparing one past-time(occupation) to the other, it would be like comparing a band with the guy who made their c.d cover. I mean, cmon now. However I appreciate the peanut butter in my bread :D

there are too many dj's, but like people who picked up guitars in the sixties, many will give up, few will move on, and from the ashes of the dj boom will rise the best and the most tallented of em all... some days you just gotta ask yourself, is it worth all of the time and energy, or is it a just a phase, or maybe another "cute" hobby... "...In new muZik we trust, and wanabe dj's we leave in the dust..."; thanks again Tongy, see u in Ibiza '07... ;)

Ufot-not hating the love...
