Would today's tykes tolerate the classic games you grew up with? Kids do say the darndest things in this uncut version of an EGM article—now with a bonus game not included in the original story! That's the question we asked—and answered—back in the November issue of EGM, in which we rounded up nine children of the PlayStation generation—ages 9 to 12—and forced them to play a variety of titles from the late'70s to the mid-'80s. Now read what the little scamps had to say, plus check their comments on a bonus game—Super Mario Bros.—that got cut from the EGM article. If you grew up with these classics, prepare to feel very old. Note: Everything written here was actually said by these kids. Really. The only change we made was to remove the more gratuitous usages of the word "gay". ********** I swear man, if I'd ever hear kids talking like this, wehter their 11, 12 or 13, I'd slap the shit out of them for being such whiny bitches. |

 Coolness: 2749320 | But it's true... We have come a long way since then... I mean I remember when lemmings came out, it was like a crazy game for me... Simcity the first one also. Wing Commander 1 changed gaming history but when you look at it, the games sucked compared to now.
But you do have to understand it's all about the technology... Back then they didn't have as much to play with. You can't make playstation games which will work on a 286 or 386... If we had the power back then maybe we would have had those games. Anyways... blablabla... |

You're playing a game where your a little brat who goes around collecting monsters, vs. playing a game where your a plumber fighting a big gorilla. They're both just as plausible stories, the little shits these days just don't have any apreciation for anything that doesn't have a new groundbreaking 3D engien to make mommy and daddy buy them a better comouter. I saw we take all the spoiled little shits like these kids and put them on an island where all they have to pass the time with are pong and books. |
