Cancer *AND* brain damage.
Soy May Cause Cancer and Brain Damage Soy may lead to health problems in animals including altering sexual development of fetuses and causing thyroid disorders. Some studies show that chemicals in soy may increase the chances of estrogen-dependent breast cancer. There is abundant evidence that some of the isoflavones found in soy demonstrate toxicity in estrogen sensitive tissues and in the thyroid. During pregnancy in humans, isoflavones per se could be a risk factor for abnormal brain and reproductive tract development. |

hey amanda i made up a recipe a couple of days ago.
i sliced about a handfull of green onions, ginger, garlic and a whole package of organic tofu very thinly. heated oil in a pan and put the onions, garlic and ginger to fry until they looked relativly cooked. put some leftover veggies (which were squash, brocoli and green pepper but you can choose differrent ones... thin carrot slices or mushrooms would've been good as well) in the frying mixture, and cooked them until they had absorbed the aromatic oil. then put the tofu slices with the veggies and cooked them until they tasted like the mixture. i put down the heating level and poured a LITTLE sesame oil, tamari and a spoonfull of natural peanut butter and blended it all together. it was great, everyone that tried it asked for more. take care sweetheart, and don't be afraid to be creative when cooking. i'll be giving you a great villa hug from the ottawa valley. |
