Do we have any Garage here?
Recently I've been really getting into it, but where is it in our city, if there is at all?! |

Ali G reps da Speed Garage phing
(Speed Garage is to Garage as to what Hardcore Jungle is to Jungle) did you guys see that episode when Ali G goes to Northern Ireland and speaks with the Chief Executive of The Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland? he's all like "and is u like knockin' out a Drum and Bass phing (thing) or is it more kinda Speed Garage that you is knockin out?" that shit was awesome! so did you guys see it? Chelsea, check out Cookies and Cream, I remember in highschool (ages ago :O), they use to make some ill Garage....nowadays, I am pretty clueless about Garage.......I know Craig David was highly influenced by that sound, being british and all but who cares? right? |

the name garage is like from that new york club that closed down years ago
just like house is from that chicago club takes the british to adopt and adapt the monikers and styles and give them the flair they have today... remember the FACE was up on this garage thing 2-3 years ago now apparently it went back underground and while before radios were all up on it it went back underground to the pirates and got all rap + GRIMEY (read new bounce beats) it'S all in the EXCLAIM of this month (this is all 2nd hand info from me so dont take it for gospel) tuesday'S EASY night at the dogg is fresh yo! like the whole garage style sometimes abit too "pop" though but that'S what's cool kinda like ragga jungle got really pop who cares it's all about the good times... looking forward to hear this new GRIMEY style ahh... the bandwagons... :P I remember I had this url for a buncha garage tracks a while back - they had all the big garage tracks available for dl'ing and classified by date of release [ www.heavyweightsound.com ] - dunno if it'S still up and running or hosting BO! rewind. hehehe |
