where is the evolution , where is the ingenuity , where is the extravaganza , that sounds like shit prodigy used to get out 10 y ago on low fi 8/16 bit adlib sound cards. just note on prodigy before i make ppl go apeshit on my comment , i think their sound , the real prodigy sound either was with voodoo people remix on hacker ( witch was a remix mind ya ) or from fat of the land , where they started to use a professionnal soundscapes akin to the one used in movie production. now who the fuck would want to sound liek their death of the prodigy dancer 15 y later with more or less one new sound OR groves. and im not using boleen logic its a literal "or". |

| Coolness: 132325 | agreed its not horrible, but i dont feel the lift. and im driving it in the 800w sound atm. and again i still think it needs a lil more work and sound a lil too generic 90s tech , i hear the work. i just think 5-6 channel more of that work sould get more "fun surprises" in the track
i started to explore a lot of dubstep pack out on the net , i dunno if i brainwashed myself with too much " wrong music " type break core but beside what wally plays , (sorry i havent heard dubstep from anybody else as i always hear too much of the house prog / psy dubstep leaked mainstream on the net ) making the realunderground hunt a whole lot harder for the real gems ... i got a few good tracks out there too that sound like funtcase , but i still feel the mainstrem dubstep is getting stripped and mingled with other style , diverging and leaving only a few gems that sound like how i would like to hear it some kind of m.i.a. (arular / kala era) mingled with slow crassy groovy fast breakcore hard step driven along like some of the hardest funtcase tracks. just to blow the roof , i know pauses are important in music , i just would like to sound it more like a gym trainning really driving you everytime like buraka som systema tries to do. i love more energy , really shifting side to side to complete exhaustion , to sum it up ;D dont worry im always exploring style as when im generalising i know i might just get into some other mood . but i really illustrated the main idea of how energenic and non layed back easy a lot of stuff should -IMHO- sound out there. im sorry if i sound like adding a month of work per track for all the producers out there im simply saying whats on my heart. hows that for demographic exposure ;D :D :D |

what is the perticular sound work involved to be coined that style . without looking i suspect skull-step to be some kind of terrorcore/breakcore/dubstep merge and clown-step being some sort of happy/dubstep am i right im only going with assumptions . and last time i did that i dodged dubstep all together thinking it was figgen " dub " ;D so yea kinda missed out on it for a while cause of that |

sounds kinda like circus music.. Originally clownstep was all the DnB with a swing like this, but then it "evolved" to stuff like that Cujo track that sounds like a 12 year old made it with a Casio. Skullstep and Technoid are really closely related - they're both kinda the offspring of breakcore, hardcore and DnB.. Skullstep tends to have more a focus on the snares and punchy mids and sounds a bit more breakcore-oriented, Technoid tends to have more of a focus on the kicks and the low-end and sounds a bit more hardcore/techno oriented.. | Coolness: 109535 | I used to look out for dubstep events as they'd play what seem to be dub-related music a year or two ago although it was slow and had emphasis on the bass with electronica elements on top that I can't qualify (lighting up the Screwhead skylamp) but now it "evolved" to something that I can't even stand around, it's a wobble-fest ; it truely feel like some art hipsters gathered around doing all the stupid stuff they do to feel important/superior/interesting then one brought along a dubstep production kit. 
A good portion of electronica is based on dub, you must have a grim outlook at electronica if you hate it. |

thanks a lot for clearing this flavor out for me. dynv about dub , i mean teh really old indie dub . if you can go back to '97 (remembering how dub had a more ambiant feel to it, sounded really fucking close to jungle lounge or trip dub ( some sort of experimental trip hop or something) and has a hard time surviving the ages since the kids pushed it to what i think it should sound like , fresh driving , always distabilising , and having the lift work everytime , again i know im generalising a lot of old gems sounds/work better than some newer sound . what i love about some old vibe was getting a major feeling of " how the fuck they did that" something tek , prog or proghouse misses completely imo . as you can clearly see the 4 sound they used all tru the records just by looking at how simple and easily cuable grooves on the lp. i hear so many styles tru the years some one week secregated at all cost , just to mess with producers going what the fuck is this new shit. and while other times completely mashing it all up together not really knowing what is what beside a beat at this point and some other times some styles ( i should really say and make ephasis that they are flavors instead of styles )some, they recoined a whole new name , just like to kill an old rep and start anew. like i know psy is like the SHIT compare to trance , but old hardtrance / hardgoa tracks on T.I.P. records , blueroom recording , and transciant rec to name a few , had way more juice work blowing your mind away , than some of the new psy stuff i been hearing for the last 3-4years quite a weird evolution when you think of it , from herbie to today , going tru the arabian style ambiant trip hop to the speedcore jungle to the skullstep... at least i think some track are way better driving than soem speedcore jungle that get quite redundant , and today's youth (im in there too) have quite a rejection to that constant , relentless quite basic ofthen lacking a lot of accent variety in their loops that are driving again and again at least some of the new dubstep and frenchcore just mess with your head so damn much at such a fast pace that it will stand out again in a lot other flavors . that will be my day as i stress how im on that pace 24/7 |

Fucking screechy midrange wobble garbage sounds like shoes in a dryer while throwing monkeys into a wood chipper. If you haven't heard it yet, get the Kode 9 & Space Ape - Memories of the Future album, but listen to it with headphones on!!! Even with a great system, give your first listen of that with headphones. It's like taking a trip to another dimension. (and don't just go hunting for individual tracks on youtube or something - get the whole album in good quality, turn off the lights and sit or lie down comfortably in a dark room and then hit Play..) |

wasted almost a year of my life at cdi college, sleeping only weekends from working nights, and school by day, thoses tie waring fucks that never even cleaned a fucking thing thoughrouly or remotely during their entire lifetime, got me hanging 2 months with a similar problem , my machine was fucked , they didnt allowed me to change the removeable tray connector that was ass worned out of existance from tare and usage, even if i was more qualified and available than the "tek" they claim to have there .
