 Coolness: 686330 | ruined: fucking idiots at Addison.. if you're going to sell a dremel/rotary tool that has no information about the "bits" size that it takes on it, and stock it on the shelf with boxes of kits with bits that are also made by the same company as the tool.. maybe it would be nice if they were fucking compatible! Fucking 'accessory' pack has like 2 (out of 138) pieces that fit, and they're both just different size versions of the same thing.. I need a fucking cutting wheel, not a sander! I fucking hate wasting money.. on the plus side, though, I've got a portable, battery-operated "dremel" with a diamond engraving bit, so I can go fuck some shit up on the move

electronic supplies store , rarely have qualified personnel up to their customers qualification . they carry cheap tools too . they are all cheap china. not a high end store if you ask me. and addison is more of a dollar store than a distributor one. shure you can order a lil , but they arent like active , raybel or digikey. but even at thoses places i still get served by someone that has more experience in pizza delivery than i have. still cannot beleive some finnaly got the carbon contact cleaner 6 years after i talk to them about how they should carry it (not addison - but raybel) but at leat they listen to their customers |

| Coolness: 686330 | yeah.. it's a bitch 'cause I really can't afford that 10$ that I spent on the rotary tool and 14$ on the part kit.. and not having that right now is my biggest obstacle in finishing the pack.. gonna have to go to my mom's place or get her to bring me her dremel so I can get this thing done.. |

| Coolness: 686330 | made: ghetto McGuyver strikes again! Took apart the rotary tool, saw that inside it was just a plastic shaft with a hole hooked to the motor, so I progressively took larger and larger drill bits until I'd enlarged the hole enough to fit the dremel bits I got

| Coolness: 686330 | haha man this thing is super cheap, it's $9.99 and it runs off 4 AA batteries lol, I don't think this could do any more than scratch something like metal, but all I need it for is to cut some .90 gauge plastic and maybe trim the corner off some 1/4" acrylic lenses.. oh and also to cut out my pack's 'motherboard'.. I raped a bookshelf for that "wood" that's on the back that's really just thick cardboard lol Update » Screwhead wrote on Tue Oct 5, 2010 @ 1:12am well THAT turned out to be totally useless, this thing can barely make a scratch in the plastic, let alone cut with a cutting wheel! Once you've got it, it's permanent, though if you were at a particularly loud concert or party, it might only be louder for a day or a week... but if you're hearing it, it's permanent damage, and it's something you're going to be risking any time you listen to loud music (either at a party or with headphones turned up to 10) I can't sleep if it's quiet because of that, I need either a fan or some music to make me not hear the sound.. if it's too quiet, it takes forever to fall asleep because it sounds like someone stuck a pair of headphones in my ears that are making a constant one-frequency sound. |

The best you can hope for is that, since (if) it's recent (up to about a week ago) then how loud it is now might just be temporary and that it will adjust down to a more 'normal' volume within a few days to a week.. but just the fact that you're hearing ringing means that there is permanent damage, and that you're going to be hearing that ringing any time it's totally silent.
Your best bet from now on is to get ear plugs (good custom ones molded to your ear canal, not the cheap shit you find at a pharmacy) and wear those any time you go somewhere with loud music, and it might not get any worse. |
