i just went through the test and chose the D every time (the last choice for each question that is)..

some how with i managed to get an IQ of 94.. boy, if choising the answer randomly gets a 94, and 100 is supposed to be the average person's IQ.. then i'd say your average person taking an IQ test doesn't even read the question and just picks any answer..

I decided I'd test how much bullshit this thing spews out and I went through the whole test and answered everything randomly.. this is what I got...

your Super IQ score is 94

Your overall intelligence quotient is the result of a scientifically-tested formula based on how many questions you answered correctly. But it's only part of what we learned about you from your answers on the test. We also determined the way you process information.

The way you think about things makes you an Intuitive Investigator. This means you have multiple talents and can do anything you set your mind to. You're able to detect numerical patterns easily and are able to grasp the true complexity of the world, both in its details and in a more abstract form. You've got a sharp logical mind and are adept at using words to get even a difficult point across. The combination of all these things makes you truly brilliant.

How did we determine that your thinking style is that of an Intuitive Investigator? When we examined your test results further, we analyzed how you scored on 8 dimensions of intelligence: spatial, organizational, abstract reasoning, logical, mechanical, verbal, visual and numerical. The 3 dimensions you scored highest on combine to make you an Intuitive Investigator. Only 6 out of 1,000 people have this rare combination of abilities.

Wow.. pretty nice way of saying someone has below average intelligence!

it doesnt prove anything, idiots
its a computer program thats feeding out a specific result for whatever combination of answers...
just because you decided to put D for evey answer and got 94 doesnt mean anything

the test-makers assume that the person taking the test will ACTUALLY read the question, then answer it. and it just so happens that if a person did that and always chose D as an answer, theyd have an IQ of 94...

the test isnt bull shit, you guys who think youre way too smart are
geez, IQ tests are never right... theres no standard for IQ testing... its a random quotient that one individual (whos name i cant remember) made up a long time ago.

you cant test for intelligence, you can test for signs of it

wow, getting all worked up because an online IQ test didn't say youre as smart as you thought... sheesh

Yeah but the thing is I chose a bunch of random answers while ian choose only D's... and we got the same result..

Also of importance is the "only 6 in 1000 have this special ability!" statement that it seems to bring up quite often...

Followed by an offer of more information on your results IF YOU PAY.

Logically it might make sense for them to give you an inflated answer followed by an offer of more information if you pay because if someone of average or below average intelligence learned they might be a genius they might, ironically, be misguided enough to pay for that information!

two points i'd like to raise

1) the divisions of visual, spatial, numerical, and verbal (or some shit like that) are complete bullshit, i believe. why do they ask you to place stuff in alphabetical order in two or three different "sections", for example? This example is repeated over and over throughout the painfully long test.

2) while getting pissed off at that stupid shit at the end, i quickly entered information (you know, birthdate jan. 1st, 2003 or some shit)... then it told me i was too young. then no matter what i did, i couldn't get my score, even my going back and changing my birthdate. the bastard must have my IP address crossreferenced with inadequate age criteria. fuckers. way too lazy to start over again.

fact is, i thought i did pretty good, but after reading this whole thread, i dont really give a fuck what it would've told me.

also, i've never taken an IQ test, and always wanted to take one, online or not, just so I could say "I am so and so IQ" or whatever. so, ya. i have no idea what my IQ is.
