| no no no don't worry Jackie...I'M saying he's a shitty singer (strickly an opinion for those who wanna yell at me)... i'd have to say, if i was a Deftones fan to begin with, i wouldn't be now...especially since that Back to School song...everything by them seems to have this, we're trying really hard not to sound pop and keep things real...i even heard them trying not to diss Linkin Park...

| Excuse all of you but Chino has an amazing voice. His screaming capabilities are out of this world and although I agree they aren't no Smashing Pumpkins they still aren't monotone. Deftones is a grunge-metal band that not everyone can stand to listen but the same goes with ALL types of music. Personally I have a wide range of music variety and I think that Deftones is one of the best bands and sounds that I have ever heard or will ever hear.
P.S.-Yeah Chester does have a nice voice but it belongs in a pop boy band. |

| Best live shows are Kiss, Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie. The Ozzfest in general has a great feeling for the show also. Korn puts on a very good performance with a decent stage show/decorations. |

| I don't even like rock or whatever it's called it's kind of unevolved and u get less options in that world...how different can u make a guitar sound?......I never really was into it.
But I can apreciate some like Incubus (the old shit not this "I'll be there for u" crap), Skunk Anansie (Skin has a kick ass voice), the Cardingans got me going too....I love Rage Against the Machine though I dunno what's up with them......but I don't think they should get more merite than an electronic musician just because they beat on wood and u can actually see where the sound is generated from, it's just a different method of going around it.....there's as much crap in the acoustic world than there is in the electronic one. |

| Well, there are a lot of things you can do with a guitar. I for one think that for rythmic stuff, distorted power chords are the way to go. But solo-wise, we've heard it all. Every single possible chord progression and fancy-style of playing has been done to death. The trick now, is making the guitar not sound like a guitar for solos, but also not making it sound like anything else that's out there and turn it into a totally new sound. |

so to like make it sound "not like a guitar"...yeah that's what I'm talking about. How much music out there is really all acoustic? I didn't mean to bash rock or nothing but I really don't think they should get more merite because you can see the dude hitting the string, that's all.
as for liking it more than I do....well there's nothing to be said about that really. |
