is there a software out there that's best for making midi's without the use of external hardware... like make the notes with my mouse and save the .mid for importing into fruity loops?

you can do it in fruity loops. or use any midi sequencer! (get started on cubase)

it's easier to do it in fruity than another program... But putting together notes with a mouse sucks no matter what. Thats one reason why I like buzz and the tracker interface because you can "type" notes quickly with the keyboard.

Programs like cubase suck ass if you don't have a midi controller, anyway.
